题目：Publishing Qualitative Studies In Good Journals

Learning to publish good quality journal articles is a very hands-on process and requires a strong alignment of what journals are seeking and what you have to offer. More specifically, presenting qualitative data in a paper can be a very challenging exercise. There are many ways of doing it, but one needs to do it without confusing the reviewers to the extent that it puts them off. In this workshop, we explore how qualitative data can be presented to tell an interesting story but also in a succinct way to give it a ‘quantitative’ feel. In particular, we discuss the following four aspects of activities that may be required to produce a good quality paper with qualitative data. While the focus and examples are drawn from the human resource management (HRM) discipline, much of the discussion may be relevant to the industrial relations discipline and other management disciplines too.

演讲人简介：

Fang Lee Cooke (PhD, University of Manchester, UK) is Associate Dean (Graduate Research) and Distinguished Professor of Human Resource Management (HRM) and Asia Studies at Monash Business School, Monash University. Previously, she was a full professor (since 2005) at Manchester Business School, University of Manchester, UK. Her research interests are in the area of employment relations, gender studies, diversity management, strategic HRM, knowledge management and innovation, outsourcing, Chinese outward FDI and HRM, employment of Chinese migrants, and HRM in the care sector. Fang is the author of HRM, Work and Employment in China (Routledge, 2005), Competition, Strategy and Management in China (Palgrave Macmillan, 2008), and Human Resource Management in China: New Trends and Practices (Routledge, 2012). Fang has also published over 120 journal articles and book chapters. She is an Associate editor for Human Resource Management; International Journal of Human Resource management; Gender, Work, and Organization; and Asia Business and Management;Senior Editor of Asia Pacific Journal of Management; andCo-Editor-in-Chief of Asia Pacific Journal of Human Resources.
